Important Questions & Answers

Is God Real?

Do you really believe that the entire universe spontaneously erupted into existence from nothing at all? Careful. when scientists refer to nothing they don’t really mean nothing. they mean very small amounts of something popping into and out of existence: a vast soup of nothing that spontaneously erupted and evolved into what we see today. So here’s one of the things that the Bible has to say about it: Romans 1:20 (NKJV) – For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse!” That about sums it up; Believe the world or believe God.

Who is Jesus?

Jesus is described many ways in the Bible: As God; As the Son of God; As the Word of God; As the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world; As the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End; and many, many more. The entire Bible is the story of Jesus and His Love for us, beginning with the Book of Genesis and ending with the Book of Revelation. One consistent story from the beginning to the end. It’s imperative to believe that Jesus is Who He says He is.

Is Heaven Real?

Yes, Heaven is real. It’s repeatedly mentioned as the home for Christian Believers. One passage from the Bible is Philippians 3:20-21 (NKJV) “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.”

How about Hell?

Yes, Hell is very real and very bad. It’s mentioned over and over throughout the Bible. Jesus says: “I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.” Luke 12:4-5 (NKJV). And again in Revelation 1:18 “I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”

Nobody in Hell will be laughing and partying… total isolation… nobody will have any remembrance of the one in Hell… maybe not even God Himself… He can choose to forget those in Hell. But nobody has to go to Hell… It’s a choice that each of us must make. We can choose Life or we can choose death. Read more below.

Do all paths lead to Heaven?

No! This is a lie that this world tells you to keep you from learning the Truth. John 14:6 (NKJV) “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’ and in Acts 4:12 (NKJV) “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Heaven is a gift from God only through acceptance of His Son, Jesus Christ.

Where will I spend eternity?

The choice is yours to make… Heaven or Hell. The Bible says, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God… “Romans 3:23 (NKJV). Meaning that we are all headed for Hell unless something is done to free us from this terrible fate. Fortunately for us, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to bear the penalty for our rebellion and sinfulness. Accepting God’s Son as Lord of our lives is the only way to avoid eternity in Hell. What is a Christian?

You’re probably surprised to hear that true Christianity is not a religion. A religion involves rules and rituals and penalties and judgements. Christianity is a faith, a changed heart and a relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus is concerned with the purity and love within our heart and spirit, not meaningless rituals. A Christian has committed his heart and spirit to following Jesus Christ as Lord. Jesus said, “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” John 14:15 (NKJV) and, “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” A Christian is free from rules and penalties… A Christian walks in the Love and Spirit of Jesus Christ

Who is the Holy Spirit?

God is frequently described as the Holy Trinity. meaning that God is revealed to us in three distinct persons… God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. So the Holy Spirit is the third person of God. All three are one God and exist in perfect communion. Jesus said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” and, “the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” John 14:17 (NKJV). The Holy Spirit is God and Lives within Christians as a helper and comforter.

Are angels and demons real?

Sure are! Here are a couple of references: Hebrews 13:2 (NKJV) “Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.” and Matthew 9:32 (NKJV) “As they went out, behold, they brought to Him a man, mute and demon-possessed.” The Bible has many references to both angels and demons. As a matter of fact, it tells us that our battles are in the spiritual realm, not with flesh and blood. The spiritual realm is more real than what we see and hear around us.

Am I good enough to go to heaven?

No! The Bible says in Ephesians 2:8-9 (NKJV), “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God not of works, lest anyone should boast.” The only road to Heaven is through faith in Jesus Christ. There is nothing any of us can do to earn our way into Heaven.

What does it mean to be “saved”?

We are all guilty of sin and rebellion against God and the penalty for sin is death. To be “saved” is to receive Jesus Christ as one’s personal Savior and Lord. This is possible only because Jesus willingly laid down His life on the cross, taking our place. He paid the debt that each of us owes. This is the gift of God referred to above. All we can do is accept it or reject it. We each must choose our destiny.

How can I get to be “saved”?

This is a matter of belief and of faith. The Bible says, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10 (NKJV). Accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord is the only way to be “saved”.

Why do bad things happen?

This world is a fallen world. There is an adversary (Satan) who brings evil and corruption into the world. Satan brings sickness and death. The adversary is here because mankind invited him. God gives us freedom of choice and we choose evil instead of righteousness… rebellion against God’s laws. Bad things happen because of our choices, not because of God’s choices.

How can I find peace and joy?

Find Jesus and you find peace and joy. Jesus said to us, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.John 14:27 (NKJV). In Proverbs 12:20 (NKJV) “Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but counselors of peace have joy.”
